What is Copper Wire without Insulation?

Copper wire manufacturers in Mumbai.jpgCopper wires are used in everything. They are the best conductor of electricity, which is the reason that they are used so often. The bare and tinned copper wire can even be used to ground electrical systems. Without insulation they should not be used to transmit electricity because of the fact that it is lacking the insulation. The insulation is used to prevent those individuals who accidentally touch the wire from being electrocuted.

Bare Solid Copper

Solid bare copper can be used as ground wire. It is a non-flexible ground wire. And it is available in a range of sizes, anywhere from 26 AWG through 2 AWG. The bigger the size of the wire the harder that it will be to bend. This kind of solid copper wire would be perfect for a job where it will not have to be bent or moved too much, somewhere that flexibility is optional but toughness is not.

Stranded Bare Copper

Stranded copper wire is plain and simple just what it sounds like. It is one bigger wire made from twisting together smaller strands of copper to form the same size OD as a solid copper strand would. Stranded bare copper ground wire can be found in Romex® wires. The stranded bare copper is flexible due to using smaller strands. This variation of bare copper wire is available in sizes ranging from 18 AWG through 2 AWG.

Tinned Copper Wire

This is also known as the bus bar wire. It is made with either solid or stranded copper. With this wire a layer of tin helps adhere to solder during assembly work. It’s used more often with insulation, but still comes without when needed. This kind of non-insulated wire is known to be non-corrosive as well as a great conductor of electricity. The tin coating on it can help to boost the coppers properties, as well as make it last much longer than if it were alone.

Wires that are bare and have no insulation should not be used to transmit electricity. Without the insulation if someone touches the wires accidentally they will be electrocuted. No matter how low the voltage on the wire is any level of electrocution is a health hazard. It used primarily in overhead power sources where it cannot be reached by human hands. The tinned copper wire may be the best option for wire without insulation, the tin helps to also improve the life of the wire. It is corrosion resistant while boosting the productivity.

Copper Tubing Repairing

Copper tube manufacturers in Mumbai.jpgCopper tubing is the most versatile plumbing material that can be concealed for both hot and cold water applications. These tubing’s are available in different forms including coiled rolls and straight pipes in varying diameters. Copper tubing’s are known for their high resistance against corrosion. Although the probability for damages are less, but you should always be ready for the repair. Easiest way to repair copper tubing is replaces the damaged section of the pipe.

Basically copper tubes are joined in three ways: solder joints, compression fittings and flared tubing. For most of the fittings, you can mix and match the type of connection to leak proof line. A rigid tubing with a soldered joints are perfect for under the sink application, flared or compression fittings are perfect for flexible tubing used to carry water to the faucet.

Special tools and expertise is required for flared pipes. Solder joints too require use of torch for clean welding. If you don’t need to replace a large section of the soldered, the best method for repair is using multiple joint. Using a compression joint is considered to be safe, convenient and cost-effective method.

Instruction for pipe repair

Identify the size of the pipe you need before going to the hardware store. You can figure out the size accurately by cutting a small section of pipe. You can carry this as sample, or may also measure the size of the pipe using tape or making marks on the thread. Don’t forget to measure the length of the pipe; you would need as a replacement.

The first step is to remove the pipe you need to replace. Cut the section slowly, or you may dent the tube by applying greater force. Measure the length of the pipe that has been removed. Rub wool or steel at the end of the pipe to make the surface smooth. The smooth surface will provide better grip for the compression fitting.

Calculate the size of the replacement pipe. Remember, the size of the replacement pipe will not be same as the patch that has been created. Also consider the length of the union fitting. The fitting has a stop point at the bracket that takes up the part of the pipe.

Use tube cutter for slicing the pipe. Clean both the ends of the pipe using steel wool or clean up tool. Slowly bolt one of the fitting nuts and compression ring onto the replacement pipe, then attach it to the fitting. Slide the ring into the fitting while securing the nut using thumbs. Similarly make an attachment on the other end of the replacement pipe.

Firmly attach the fitting nuts and compression ring onto the existing pipes, and then place the pipe on the existing patch. You will have to gently flex the pipe for making the adjustment. Slide compression ring and secure the fitting with the support of the thumb.

By using two wrenches, tighten the compression nuts. Use one wrench to hold the nut and other for sliding. After the job is done, slowly turn back for water to check the leaks. Turn of the water, if you need to tighten the joint once again.

How Copper gets discover??

copper tube manufacturers in india.jpgNobody knows who discovered copper. In Iraq, archaeologists made a discovery of a copper pendant aging over 10,000 years. Unlike other metals, this metal is usually found in its natural state, not in the form of ores or compounds. Thus human believe copper was the first metal being used, probably used with meteoritic iron or gold.

The copper is thought to be a prehistoric metal. Evidence was found that was used by ancient Americans during 1000 B. C. Those days, copper was mainly used in the pure form. The American Indians in the Upper Peninsula of America used copper as the sources for spear tips, trinkets and jewelry.

According to the reference, there were two oldest civilizations that used the copper. They were Chaldea and Sumer. Similar to other founders of copper in other places, they made use copper to produce weapons. Sumerian craftsmen also made beautiful sculptures from copper and mounted them on the wall. One of the examples is the Indulged Relief. It was dated 3100 B. C. and showed an eagle headed a lion and holding a stag in its claw.

Others claimed that copper was originally found and used by the Romans in Cyprus for almost 11, 000 years. They were the ones who discovered copper and named it after the island, which had abundance of copper resources. The name copper was originally cuprum, the Latin word named by the Romans. They discovered the many faceted abilities of the copper. The main usage of copper metal was for weaponry including spears, axes, knives and other household items like cutlery and pots.

There were other cultures that were listed to discover copper and using the metal for numerous stuffs. The Middle East was believed to be one of the earliest discoverers of copper. They primarily used copper on large scales to produce copper alloy by combining it with other metals. Among the examples were bronze and brass. The bronze and brass have better properties including being much more durable and more resistance towards damage compared to pure copper metal.

Copper and alloys were also abundantly used in the Far East and Turkey as early as 5000 B. C. The technology used in Asia was pretty similar to the one used in Mediterranean and America. However in the process of mining to smelting, they differ a little.

The prehistoric Hindus had used copper for other products like coins, cutleries, and lamps instead of weapons. There was also discovery of little copper tubes in the burial grounds under Egyptian pyramids.

To conclude this, one can never have precise statements about who discovered copper as nobody has the privileged to be accredited for copper discovery. It was basically found in all corners of the world at different times. Different cultures have interesting evolution of the metal into their respective fields.

Common Applications of copper tubing

copper tube manufacturers in india.jpgCopper tubing is used extensively in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry (ACR). Copper has a high heat conductivity, which makes it quite ideal for heat transfer applications such as Air Conditioning. It also has the heat transfer effectiveness nearly eight times that of aluminum tubing. For some applications, heat transfer fins are not even necessary. In this case, special arrangements of tubing called tubing coils are needed to save space and maximize the heat transfer rate. Oftentimes, an arrangement in a repeated S-shape will yield a pancake coil, which allows air to move more easily through the coil in order to remove the heat.

The best coils are constructed from a single bent piece of continuous copper tubing. Fittings are certainly acceptable to join multiple copper tubing lengths together, but for high pressure applications like Air Conditioning, a much tighter connection may be required between tubing lengths than just fittings alone. If multiple lengths are required, soldering and brazing may be necessary.

Brazing and Soldering for Extended Lengths:

Soldering involves a significant amount of heat aimed at the fitting against the tube. Heat must be evenly distributed about the circumference of the tube and the fitting, allowing for a consistent join. Combining fittings with tubing by brazing rather than simple thread joining renders the tube contiguous and reduces the risk of leaks. If the coils being used are very long, it is best to use true contiguous tube while avoiding fittings altogether in order to reduce fluid and air drag inside and outside the tube.

Benefits of Using Copper Tubing in Your Coils:

Copper tubing is considered one of the best options for a plethora of applications because of its various benefits, including long term performance, corrosion resistance, large availability of fittings and connectors, and its relatively simple requirements for recycling profitably.

So, where would you get the best copper tubes from for your application areas? Well, the answer is – the Maitree Industries India Pvt. Where and why we need copper wire?

Copper wire manufacturers in Pune.jpgStranded copper wire is composed of many small gauge wires in order to make a large conductor. Presence of thinner conductors makes the stranded wire more flexible and solid in comparison to the other wire of same diameter. With the strength, reliability and durability of copper wire the stranded wires have become preferred choice for the builders.

Moreover the stranded wire is more economical and is considered to be more flexible than the solid copper wires of similar cross-sectional area. The problem of mechanical ruggedness in the case of solid cable is also over come here because stranded copper wire has relatively lesser surface area that is been exposed to environmental corrosives. The stranded wire can be use with mush ease in the application and places that require bending and even the repeated bending. Owing to the superior flexibility stranded copper wire rates high when it comes to wiring the circuit boards, headphones or any other connections that requires moving joints as well as tight bends. Beside this they are typically used as the residential wire as the flexibility allows easy bending and can be pulled out easily by conduit.

The A.C. line cords, musical instrument cables, computer mouse cables, welding electrode cables, control cables connecting moving machine parts, mining machine cables, trailing machine cables are some of the electrical usage of stranded copper wire. Connections between the circuit boards in the multi -circuit-board devices demands more flexibility, here the rigidity of solid wire can produce stress and result in movement during assemble or servicing.

Tin coating on the copper wire provides more durability and strength. In tinned copper wire each strand of copper wire is coated with tin. The manufacturing process can be either hot dipping or electroplating. In the prior each strands copper is dipped to the melted tin while in the process of electroplating the rectifier and electrical charge are used to tin the copper. The stranded wire has higher resistance in comparison to that of the solid copper of the similar diameter. This is due to the fact that cross-section of the stranded wire has unavoidable gaps in between the strands.

Hook-up, magnet, and resistance wire are the most popular kind of stranded wire. The magnet wire is used for the winding of electric motors, generators, speaker coils, transformers and inductors. However, most of the high-frequency applications that require proximity effect and better performance at high frequencies make use of stranded wire that can be insulated and twisted in the special patterns as well.

Supplying & producing a wide range of copper products

copper tube manufacturers in indiaThere are plenty of free copper tube rituals under onto your nasal area and you don’t even know it, invisible at the largest part of a CRT television/monitor held in by rises. There is a square black wire covered with record. What many people don’t seem to know is that it’s full of magnetic wire!

As an electric conductor for developing pipe systems, copper tube is the most effective, most powerful, most reliable steel on the market. Over the life of your body, it can also be the most cost-effective conductor money can buy.

With its remarkable present holding potential, copper tube is more effective than any other electric conductor Because of its excellent conductivity, annealed copper tube is the worldwide conventional to which all other electric conductors are in comparison. In 1913, the worldwide Electro-Technical Commission set the conductivity of copper tube at 100% in their International annealed Copper Standard (IACS). This means that copper tube provides more present holding ability to a given size of pipe than any other technological innovation steel. Nowadays, copper tube conductors used in developing pipe actually have a conductivity ranking of 100% or better, based on the IACS scale.

Copper tube manufacturers in India need less insulating material and smaller conduits than steel because steel, with its lower conductivity, must be larger in size than copper tube to carry the same present. This is why more copper tube can fit in a given gateway, in comparison to steel. This greater “tube fill” is a special benefits when a process is rewired or extended.

Another is that copper tube also performs electricity. So relationships and terminations will not get too hot and do not have the use of oxide-inhibiting substances. In addition, copper tube also provides excellent heat conductivity (60% better than aluminum), which helps you to save energy and speeds up heat dissipation. This property is also especially helpful at terminations and relationships.
